Lumen is a smart-home lighting brand that needed its technology to feel calm, intuitive, and recognisable. We developed the brand’s digital expression around the relationship between light and time, turning motion into a core part of how the identity behaves. The work combined creative direction, interface design, a flexible design system, and a motion language inspired by the smooth response of a physical dimmer. We simplified the experience around one clear gesture and built a reference prototype to guide the product team. The result is a brand system in which interaction, pacing, and visual restraint work together, giving Lumen a distinct character across the app and future digital touchpoints.
