marshmellow is a coastal editorial platform built for long-form stories, recurring issues, and an archive that grows over time. We developed a brand system inspired by tide tables, combining a shifting mark, fine rules, and a controlled typographic scale to create a recognisable voice without competing with the writing. The work covered visual identity, editorial direction, page templates, digital design, and the CMS structure behind issues and dispatches. We reduced the experience to one reading measure and a consistent hierarchy, giving the editorial team a practical framework for publishing new material. The result is a flexible journal brand that feels coherent across articles, collections, social excerpts, and future editions.
